On April 12, Ms. Ruhl’s 8th Grade Honors History class visited the Federal Courthouse in downtown Fresno at the invitation of Federal Magistrate Judge Stanley A. Boone to hold a mock trial of a cyberbullying case.  Students were assigned roles as attorneys, witnesses, and jurors, as well as a judge and court clerk. After the mock trial, U.S. Federal Marshalls gave a presentation of their duties and a demonstration of their offensive and defensive devices.

The following week, Judge Boone spent a full day visiting all Kastner 8th graders to discuss the U.S. Constitution and its relevance today. We deeply appreciate the time and dedication Judge Boone has given to our T-Birds.
